The woman is portrayed in a reclining position with her head titled backwards so that her hair looks like a cascade. Nothing distracts her beauty, her body is perfectly staged and the reflection of herself even emphasizes her aesthetic looks. This photograph was made in 2008 by artist Manfred Kielnhofer as part of the series ‘water reflection’, which includes photographs of women in front of a white background that are depicted in gymnastic poses and mirror themselves in the surface beneath them.
The work is signed, dated and numbered in Edding ‘Kielnhofer 2008 6/10’ as well as fitted with a sticker of the ‘Guardians of Time’ and the artist’s address. The photography is in a good condition with minor signs of wear. The upper edge bears a tiny chip and some parts of the surface of the photo are minimally smudged.
