About Manfred Kielnhofer

Guardians of Time by Manfred Kielnhofer Mystique contemporary art sculpture Guardians of Time by the Austrian Manfred Kielnhofer observing and pretending the world. “The Guardians of Time” relates to the idea that since the beginning of time mankind has had protectors, both for historic and mystical reasons. It seems that only man himself is a potential source of danger for his own existence. In his works of art Manfred Kielnhofer deals with the natural human desire for security. Thus his oeuvre reflects genuine exploration, consideration and discussion of current as well as historic moods and sensibilities of his social environment. His works of art captivate with elaborate combinations of light and different technique. http://www.paranoias.org/2012/12/guardians-of-time-by-manfred-kielnhofer http://kielnhofer.com http://timeguards.com http://fotopark.at http://artpark.at http://contemporary-art.at http://lightart-biennale.com http://www.facebook.com/manfred.kielnhofer http://twitter.com/artbeyondlimits http://at.linkedin.com/in/contemporaryart http://gplus.to/contemporaryartdesign https://plus.google.com/photos/102958896899981777265/albums http://www.flickr.com/photos/artbeyondlimits http://www.tumblr.com/blog/contemporary-art http://www.youtube.com/user/kielnhofer http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Manfred_Kielnhofer http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guardians_of_Time_(Art)

light balls bench by Manfred Kielnhofer winner of the design contest Town Center Park, the Woodlands Texas USA

Dear Woodlands Waterway Bench Art Finalists:

Congratulations to you as one of the 2014 Woodlands Waterway Arts Bench Competition finalists:

Location #1:  Luis Pavon, Malaga, Spain
Location #2:  Bob Mosier, Conroe, Texas, USA
Location #3:  Dan Scaggs, Laguna Beach, California, USA
Location #4:  Manfred Kielnhofer, Linz, Austria,
Location #5   Vickie Goldstein, Houston, Texas, USA
Location #6   Rollin Karg, Kechi, Kansas, USA
Location #7:  Rod Flower, The Woodlands, Texas, USA
Location #8:  Terrell Powell, Austin, Texas, USA

We are so proud of each of you!  The selection process was not easy because of the high quality of the semi-finalists submissions.  The range of design styles, materials and concepts, as well as the geographic diversity of the artists, exceeded our expectations.  The Semi-finalists alone hailed from 4 countries and 11 states and represented a very select group of accomplished artists.  The Bench Committee, giving heavy weight to the underwriter’s choice, had a very tough job indeed.  You represent a very select group of artists!

As you begin construction, please remember that design standards require that the bench be able to withstand weather and wear for a minimum of 5 years.  Also you will recall that delivery is due in The Woodlands on or before October 1, 2014.  We will be in touch with you later with delivery instructions.  We hope that you will be able to join us for the festivities in October and will send you more information on the “unveiling” as it develops.

On more mundane matters, please reply to this email to confirm receipt and email me the exact wording/spelling of your name and the name of your bench (or “untitled”) as you would like it to appear on the bronze plaque that will be installed alongside your bench.

We look forward to seeing your bench in October!! Congratulations to you — as a 2014 Woodlands Waterway Art Bench Finalists!!

Juni, 19 Uhr (Vernissage), Sonntag 29. Juni (11 bis 17 Uhr), Samstag, 5. Juli (11 bis 17 Uhr), Sonntag 6. Juli (11 bis 17 Uhr) und Freitag, 11. Juli (während des Konzerts ab 19.30 Uhr).
